Wagmam barbecue sauce

Serves - Makes 200ml


100ml bought yellow bean sauce
100ml bough hoisin sauce (see Hoisin sauce)
2 teaspoons sugar
2 garlic cloves, peeled and finely minced
1 tblsp toasted sesame oil
Pinch of white pepper
1 tblsp dark soy sauce
1 tbslp light soy sauce


Combine all ingredients in together in a small bowl


There are lots of brands of barbecue sauce, each one with its advocates. Making your own allows for variation (alter the amounts of each ingredient used) but most importantly makes you realise how bright and vibrant this sauce can be. Keeps in the fridge for several days.
